Reece B. Morrel, Jr.
Reece B. Morrel, Jr., is a lawyer and certified public accountant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where his practice covers tax, estate planning, elder law and business transactions. His father practiced law for fifty years, and Reece had the honor and privilege of working beside him for half of them. When his father retired in 2016, Reece started his own firm. On the mornings he wears a manual-wind watch, he winds it and says the Lord’s Prayer while he does it. If the watch is quartz or automatic, he skips the winding and keeps the prayer. He lives in Tulsa with his wife, Dana.
His interest in watches began with a client. An estate-planning client asked him to prepare a trust to hold his watches, and the more he researched what he was putting into it, the more the watches themselves took hold of him: the complications, the colors, the shapes, the sizes, all the different ways of saying the same thing, which is what time it is. He has since assembled several watches himself. He is the author of the Watch and Pray series.
